Three downline and two customers (one is a former downline) sent me hand-made Halloween cards. Wanted to share. Aren't they all darling???? There's nothing like receiving a hand-made card in the mail!
Also, I'm in a particular demonstrator's 5th level and when I achieve being in her top-30 in a given month (out of over 5,000 from what I understand) I get a card from her. This one was really unique in that it was made out of folded Designer Series Paper.
Carved our pumpkins last night. Kendall's friend, Tori, carved her first pumpkin at our house! Tori's in on the left in the photo of the trio, Kendall's is on the right. Guess who is the smart aleck that made the "Candy" with the arrow pumpkin? Me, of course! Michael's is the little one in the photo by itself. Michael (10) is an Indian and Kendall (13 - my sweet Catholic school 8th grader) is "emo". It's funny because she is not smiling to stay in character and I never see her without a smile. It looks strange to see her face so dour but the costume looks cool on her.
Happy Halloween! Doug will be home handing out candy while I take Michael and his best buddy, Connor, around our new neighborhood. Kendall and her friends are going to Tori's house.

Country Living and Stampin' Up! have partnered to create the Country Living
Holiday Collection Stampin' Kit that will be featured in Country Living's
December issue; use this opportunity to find new customers and hold holiday
events.
On November 15 and December 6, I am partnering with former downline, Abi, to hold a card-making class in my new home. Abi is using the "I Wish" Simply Scrappin' Kit to design 10 cards that we'll make 2 each of for a total of 20 cards out of the kit. Abi had a great idea and suggested I offer the kit to my out of town customers who cannot attend but might want to make some holiday cards (for holiday greetings, for your children's teachers, your hairdresser, your personal masseuse, your chauffeur, to mail to a soldier abroad or as a thank you note!). Smart thinking Abi!
The Class by Mail Kit includes:
One "I Wish" Simply Scrappin' Kit (see photo of kit below or see it on page 174 of the current SU catalog) that will be precut for all the cards and whatever is not used, will be included in your package. You get 100% of this Simply Scrappin' Kit contents whether the cards use it or not.
All the embellishments used on the card precut for you.
There will be no stamping. If you want to add stamped images, you may add from your own stamp inventory at home.
Photos of the 10 cards (that you'll make 2 each of & there are two teasers shown below) will be included in the kit.
Step-by-Step Instructions for each of the 10 card designs.
The class fee is $30 and that includes the $20 Simply Scrappin' Kit and embellishments. We think that's a steal!
Shipping = $4.80 as we can fit it all into a Flat Rate envelope. I can only ship within the USA.
Final cost by mail is $35 for 20 cards from this Class by Mail Kit.
Deadline to order is November 6. My goal is to order the appropriate # of kits, prepare it for you then ship to you no later than November 15 which is the day of the actual class.
I am sharing two cards to give you an idea. If we showed all the cards, there'd be no point in selling the kit, LOL!
To order, please follow these simple instructions:
Email $35 via Pay Pal to StellarStamps@comcast.net.
Put in the subject line "I Wish Class by Mail Kit".
Slice
& Bake Sugar Cookies (like Pillsbury) * Cookie Sheet * Cake Decorator’s
Coloring for Icing OR Stampin’ Ink Refills * Bold Stamp Images
Directions:
Slice the
cookies as directed on the cookie package.
Place
them on a cookie sheet & put into the freezer.(This prevents the stamp from sinking
into soft dough & getting dough stuck into the rubber stamp.)
Place
coloring onto a plate & create a ink pad by using a coffee
filter.
Lightly
tap the stamp onto the coffee filter until the color starts to come
through.“Ink up” your stamp with
this coloring & begin stamping on your cookies.
If the
stamp starts to stick….put it in the freezer again. They will soften as they thaw.
Bake the
cookies as directed on the cookie package.
*Note: As the cookie bakes the image will change
& spread. Do a test cookie or two to
see the results before continuing to make a whole batch. Some people use ink refills (they’re
non-toxic) & some people use professional cake decorators coloring. The difference is that the professional
coloring is thicker than regular food coloring or ink refills.
Stampin' Up!s CEO, Shelli Gardner (and my host when I went to Utah for Founder's Circle in September) was on a Utah TV show last Tuesday showing how to make holiday place settings with our Designer Series Paper, the Big Shot and our dies. Take a peek... it's only about 6 minutes long:
I'm sharing this with customers to give you all an easy place to find this information. If you want to sign up as a demonstrator, follow these steps:
Go to my website at www.StellarStamps.StampinUp.net, then
You might want to watch some of our CEO's videos on the topic, then
Go to
"Join Stampin' Up!" and go to "Click here to enroll"
My
password to gain access is simply "stellarstamps" (one word -no
quotation marks).
Take it slowly as you may swap out sets if the kit has something you already have at home.
If you have
any roadblocks, the info you enter cannot be saved. Ask me any and all
questions!
That's it!
#1 question I get asked = "how much do I need to sell to stay active?" Answer = $300 per quarter BUT the clock starts ticking in the first full quarter. That means that if you sign up during this promotion (between today and October 11), you have until March 30, 2009 (6 months!) to sell $300. That is SO do-able! Really.
